Watermelon Slushie Guide: 5 Easy Steps for Summer Travel

  • Author: Liza
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Beat the heat with this ridiculously refreshing watermelon slushie – hydrating, naturally sweet, and easy enough to make daily!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups diced seedless watermelon (freeze half for better texture)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional for extra brightness)
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (optional, based on watermelon sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Dice your watermelon into chunks. Freeze half for at least a few hours or overnight. Keep the other half chilled.
  2. Add frozen watermelon, fresh watermelon, lime juice, sweetener, and ice to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth. Start slow, then increase speed until the slushie texture is perfect.
  4. Taste and adjust – add more sweetener, lime juice, or frozen watermelon as needed.
  5. Serve immediately in glasses. Snap a pic – it melts fast!

Notes

For best results, use a ripe, sweet watermelon and freeze at least half of the chunks. A high-speed blender gives the smoothest texture, but any blender will do!
