Description

A delicious and visually appealing appetizer for Valentine’s Day. These Valentine’s Caprese Skewers are made with heart-shaped tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh basil, all drizzled with a balsamic reduction for a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups grape tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cups mini bocconcini cheese balls
  • Balsamic vinegar reduction
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Cut grape tomatoes in half at an angle to form heart shapes.
  2. Assemble skewers by threading a basil leaf, bocconcini ball, and a heart-shaped tomato onto a toothpick. Repeat the process to fill the toothpick with layers of ingredients.
  3. Drizzle with balsamic reduction.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

To make your own balsamic reduction, simmer balsamic vinegar until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency.
