Description
Fun and festive Turkey Pretzel Rods made with pretzels, chocolate, and candy corn — a no-bake Thanksgiving treat that’s sweet, salty, and kid-friendly.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ teaspoons coconut oil
- 12 fudge-striped cookies
- 108 pieces of candy corn (9 per cookie)
- 12 pretzel rods
- 12 butterscotch chips
- 24 candy eyes
- ¼ cup red candy melts
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and gather all ingredients.
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second increments, stirring after each until smooth.
- Transfer melted chocolate into a tall glass for dipping.
- Spread a small amount of melted chocolate on the fudge-striped side of each cookie.
- Arrange 9 candy corn pieces around the top edge of each cookie to create feathers, leaving space at the bottom for the pretzel rod.
- Dip pretzel rods into melted chocolate, coating two-thirds of each rod. Tap off excess chocolate.
- Press each dipped pretzel into the gap at the bottom of the cookie to attach.
- Add a butterscotch chip for the beak and two candy eyes above it.
- Melt red candy melts and use a piping bag or spoon to add a small red dab beside the beak for the wattle.
- Allow to set completely at room temperature or chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Use quality chocolate for smooth melting. Avoid refrigerating for long periods to keep pretzels crisp and candy eyes intact.
