Description

Sweet, tangy, and made in under 30 minutes, this one-pan Tangy Honey Lime Chicken is a weeknight dinner lifesaver. Packed with bright citrus flavor and a sticky honey glaze, it’s a total family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 2 limes
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro, plus extra for garnish
  • For serving:
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • Lime wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lime juice and zest, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 6–7 minutes on one side until golden.
  4. Flip the chicken and pour sauce over it. Reduce heat to medium and let sauce bubble gently.
  5. Spoon sauce over chicken as it cooks for another 6–8 minutes, until fully cooked and glazed.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Serve over rice with cucumber slices and lime wedges.

Notes

Double the sauce if you love extra glaze over rice. Chicken thighs work great too. Make it spicy with extra red pepper flakes or sriracha. Leftovers are amazing — just reheat gently with a splash of water or broth.
