Description

These Rice Krispie Turkey Legs are a fun, festive Thanksgiving treat made with Cocoa Krispies, marshmallows, and pretzel rods to look just like mini turkey drumsticks. They’re easy to make, super kid-friendly, and perfect for holiday dessert tables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 pretzel rods, cut in half
  • 10 ounces vanilla melting wafers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal
  • Nonstick cooking spray or gloves for shaping

Instructions

  1. Melt the vanilla wafers in a microwave-safe bowl on low or defrost setting, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Dip one end of each pretzel rod half into the melted candy, press two mini marshmallows onto the end, and chill on parchment paper for 5 minutes.
  3. Re-dip marshmallow ends in melted candy coating to fully cover and chill again for 5 minutes until set.
  4. In a large pot, melt butter over low heat, add the remaining marshmallows, and stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and salt, then fold in Cocoa Krispies until evenly coated.
  6. Let the mixture cool 5–10 minutes. Take about 2/3 cup and shape it around each pretzel bone to resemble a drumstick.
  7. Use nonstick spray or gloves for easier shaping. Let set on parchment for 10–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Avoid refrigerating for long periods, as it can affect the texture. Great make-ahead option for Thanksgiving dessert tables!
