Description

This Parmesan Crusted White Fish is flaky on the inside, crispy and cheesy on the outside, and comes together in less than 30 minutes. The perfect easy dinner that feels gourmet — without the stress.

Ingredients

Scale
    • For the Fish:
    • 4 white fish fillets (cod or tilapia work great)
    • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

  • For Serving (Optional):
  • Fresh lemon wedges
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or grease lightly.
  2. Make the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix Parmesan, panko, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prep the Fish: Pat fish dry and brush both sides with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Crust the Fish: Press each fillet into the Parmesan mixture, coating both sides generously.
  5. Bake: Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and flaky.
  6. Broil (Optional): Broil on high for 1–2 minutes to crisp the top. Watch closely!
  7. Serve: Top with lemon wedges and herbs. Enjoy immediately while crispy.

Notes

  • Use fresh Parmesan for best texture and melt.
  • Dry fish thoroughly before coating to ensure crust sticks.
  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest or a dash of cayenne.
  • Make it low-carb by swapping panko with almond flour.
