Description
Adorable, no-bake Oreo Turkey Cookies that are perfect for Thanksgiving. Easy to make, fun for kids, and full of holiday charm!
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 Oreo cookies
- ½ cup dark chocolate melting wafers
- 120 pieces candy corn
- 48 candy eyes
- 12 orange Reeseās Pieces, cut in half
- Red cookie icing
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the Oreos so you have halves with cream on one side and plain halves on the other. Place the cream halves facing up on the tray.
- Melt the dark chocolate melting wafers using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir until smooth.
- Add a small dollop of melted chocolate along the top of each Oreo half. Arrange five candy corn pieces in a fan shape with the points facing in. Press gently so they stick.
- Add a bit more chocolate over the candy corn tips, then top with the other Oreo half. Press gently to secure.
- Use a toothpick to dab two small dots of melted chocolate above the center of the cookie. Quickly place two candy eyes over the dots.
- Add a dab of chocolate below the eyes and press half a Reeseās Pieces flat side down for the beak.
- Use red cookie icing to draw a small line next to the beak for the turkeyās wattle.
- Let the cookies rest at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, or refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
Notes
Work quickly as chocolate sets fast. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks at room temp, 4 weeks in fridge, or 2 months in freezer with parchment between layers.
