Description
A cozy, homemade pumpkin spice latte made with real pumpkin puree, warm spices, and your choice of milk. This simple recipe brings the flavors of fall straight to your kitchen, and it’s ready in just 10 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 shots of espresso (or ½ cup of strong brewed coffee)
- 1 cup milk of choice (oat milk is great for frothing)
- 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup (for natural sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: whipped cream, extra cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for topping
Instructions
- Heat your milk in a small pot over medium-low heat until steaming (about 3-4 minutes). Stir occasionally.
- While the milk heats, brew your espresso (or strong coffee). In a large mug or mason jar, combine espresso, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Froth the heated milk using a milk frother until doubled in volume and foamy.
- Pour the frothed milk into the mug with the pumpkin espresso mixture, reserving some foam for the top.
- Top with the reserved foam and optionally add whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for extra flavor.
Notes
Use real pumpkin puree for a creamy, rich texture. Customize sweetness with maple syrup, and adjust milk for your preferred texture.
