Description

This Cranberry Orange Glazed Turkey is a show-stopping holiday centerpiece that combines sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. It’s juicy, festive, and surprisingly easy to make—perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any cozy winter gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 (11-pound) turkey, cut into 6 pieces
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup frozen orange juice concentrate (thawed)
  • ½ cup frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate (thawed)
  • ¼ cup orange marmalade
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh herb sprigs (optional)
  • Orange wedges (optional)
  • Whole cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the rack in the bottom third.
  2. Pat the turkey pieces dry with paper towels. Coat them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roast the turkey on a baking sheet for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  4. Brush the turkey generously with your prepared Cranberry Orange Glaze. Pour the chicken broth onto the baking sheet.
  5. Continue roasting for another 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F to 170°F. If the skin browns too fast, cover it loosely with foil.
  6. Let it rest for about 25–30 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
  7. Prepare the gravy by whisking the pan drippings with the remaining glaze until smooth and glossy.
  8. Garnish and serve with herbs, orange wedges, and cranberries.

Notes

You can prepare the glaze up to 2 days in advance. Roast the turkey earlier in the day and reheat before serving. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days and make great sandwiches.
