Description

These Cranberry-Glazed Turkey Meatballs are tender, juicy, and coated in a sticky-sweet glaze that tastes like the holidays — perfect for dinner, potlucks, or festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Meatballs:
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons whole-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound 94% lean ground turkey
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • For the Cranberry Glaze:
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (canned or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the egg. Add onion, yogurt, thyme, sage, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  2. Add ground turkey and panko. Mix gently by hand until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Form into tablespoon-sized meatballs. Chill for 15 minutes to firm.
  4. Whisk cranberry sauce, vinegar, maple syrup, mustard, zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create glaze.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in a single layer. Cook 4 minutes, flip, and cook 3 more minutes.
  6. Pour in glaze. Stir gently to coat meatballs. Simmer 3–5 minutes until glaze thickens and internal temp reaches 165°F.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.

Notes

Chilling helps meatballs keep their shape. Don’t skip the yogurt — it keeps them moist. Adjust the glaze to taste — more vinegar for tang, more syrup for sweetness. Great as an appetizer or main dish.
