Description
A warm, creamy, and flavorful dip made with refried beans, melty cheese, and simple spices—perfect for parties, game nights, and casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ¼ cup salsa
- Optional toppings: diced tomatoes and fresh parsley
- Tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and salsa. Stir until smooth and creamy. Reserve half the shredded cheese for topping.
- Spread mixture into a baking dish or cast iron skillet and smooth evenly.
- Top with remaining cheese and bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are bubbling.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with diced tomatoes and fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
For smoother melting, shred your own cheese. To add spice, mix in diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper. Use a cast iron skillet to keep the dip warm longer. For a creamier texture, add a splash of milk before baking. Easily double the recipe for larger crowds.
