Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolks, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup red and green M&M’s
- 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup pretzel pieces
- 1/3 cup potato chip pieces
- 2 tbsp red and green jimmies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Mix in egg yolks and vanilla until smooth and pale.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in M&M’s, white chocolate chips, pretzel pieces, potato chips, and sprinkles.
- Scoop dough into 20 balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
- Top each cookie with a few extra mix-ins for a festive look.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes. 10 for chewy, 12 for crisp edges.
- Optional: swirl a round cookie cutter around each warm cookie to make it perfectly circular.
- Cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
Spoon and level your flour to avoid dry cookies. Add a teaspoon of cornstarch for extra chewiness. Round cookies with a cutter while warm for bakery-style presentation. Dough freezes well, and mix-ins can be customized to your pantry.
