Description
Crispy, juicy, and coated in a sticky-sweet hot honey glaze, these Air Fryer Hot Honey Chicken Tenders are the ultimate easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup honey
- 1–2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat. Optionally, dip in a beaten egg before the breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Place the coated tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In a small bowl, mix honey and hot sauce. Adjust heat to taste.
- Toss cooked tenders in the hot honey sauce until fully coated. Drizzle extra sauce before serving if desired.
Notes
To keep tenders crispy, avoid crowding the basket and reheat in the air fryer instead of the microwave. Use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version.
