Description
Quickly whip up this easy watermelon sorbet in under 5 minutes. It’s a sweet, refreshing, and totally healthy summer treat the whole family will love. Best of all, it’s made with just a couple of simple ingredients and no ice cream maker required.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 cups of frozen watermelon cubes (cut from a ripe, seedless watermelon)
- Juice from 1/2 lime (or more to taste)
- Optional: Honey, maple syrup, or a few drops of liquid stevia
- Optional: Coconut milk for a creamier version
- Optional: Fresh mint or basil for an herbal twist
Instructions
- Dice a ripe, seedless watermelon into chunks and freeze them in a single layer on a tray. Once solid, transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container.
- Place frozen watermelon cubes into a food processor.
- Add juice of half a lime. You can always add more later.
- Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Add more lime juice or a splash of water if needed.
- Add optional sweetener if desired. Blend until texture is like soft-serve.
- Scoop and enjoy immediately or freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer texture.
Notes
Spread watermelon cubes in a single layer before freezing to avoid clumping. Use a food processor or high-powered blender. Adjust sweetness depending on watermelon ripeness. Avoid too much liquid early on to maintain texture.
